I would like you to ignore the text on this featured image. ‘Why has the old fool put it on the article then?’ I hear you ask. The answer is simple. This amalgam of two Leeds institutions has been so popular that extra dates have been added so, as well as 23rd and 24th September, the event is now also being held on 30th September and 1st October.
I was at a previous Oktoberfest and had an absolute blast so can highly recommend it. Tickets are an absolute steal at £15 and include an unreserved seat and a stein on arrival. Wine, spirits and soft drinks are also available should you not be a beer person. It is a well known fact – according to an obviously genuine Facebook post – that German beer is good for the brain. Probably the greatest thinker of the 20th Century was named after his standing order at the local bar where he was known as Albert ‘Ein Stein’.
There will be authentic German sausages and an Oompah Band so pop down to Temple Arches and get München on a sausage in bread. Just as you thought that the puns couldn’t get any wurst they just did.
For tickets to any of the sessions please go to https://www.oktoberfestleeds.co.uk/tickets but be quick as they are selling out fast.
