Don’t panic, all is not what it seems from the headline. Ilkley’s favourite cocktail lounge, The Ticket Office, is alive and well, in fact it is expanding its operation to provide top quality food to accompany the expansive range of drinks.

The End of the Line is the new food residency run by Linford Nicholson and Isaac Jager, neither of whom are strangers to First Class food. Linford trained at The Fleece in Addingham and then The Craven Heifer, in the same village, under Mark Owens who now runs Home restaurant in Leeds with Elizabeth Cottam.

Linford and Isaac

Isaac worked in Surrey before coming to his senses and moving to Yorkshire where he and Linford worked with Simon Gueller at the Ilkley institution which is The Box Tree, a restaurant which has held 20 Michelin stars over the years, not at the same time, obviously!

The idea is that they will provide high end food sourced from local suppliers and producers such as The Loafer Bakery, across the road from The Ticket Office, Wilkinson’s butcher just around the corner and Keelham Farm Shop up the road in Skipton.

Tomahawk Steak

Items which will appear on the menu include Isaac’s favourites Tomahawk Steak and Lobster Mac’n’Cheese. There is also what could be my favourite, Seared Honey Glazed Pork Belly.

Trio of Sliders

Vegans and vegetarians are catered for with dishes such as the Buddha Bowl which will contain a changing variety of fresh vegetables, grains and toasted seeds.

Just to prove that this residency has no intention of living up to its name, there are plans afoot for the future with a Bottomless Brunch, functions and a Christmas menu in the pipeline.

The Ticket Office is open Monday to Thursday from 4.00 pm until 11.00 pm, Friday and Saturday 12.00 noon until 1.00 am and Sunday 12.00 noon until 9.00 pm. Food will be served Wednesday and Thursday between 5.00 pm and 8.30 pm and Friday and Saturday 12.00 noon until 9.00 pm.
