This December Opera North has come together, from the youngest performers in the Children’s Chorus to the more ‘mature’ artists in the company, to present a richly varied Christmas programme with events being held all over the region.
The highlights of the Christmas presentations are:
The Nutcracker and The Snowman with the Orchestra of Opera North and Pui Fan Lee – Huddersfield Town Hall on Wednesday, 11th December

The Opera North Christmas Concert with Garry Walker conducting the mixed ensembles – Dewsbury Town Hall on Thursday, 12th December

Peter and the Wolf and The Snowman with the Orchestra of Opera North and Pui Fan Lee – Leeds Town Hall on Sunday, 22nd December. There will be two performances on the day with Leeds Town Hall’s first ever Relaxed Performance at 2.30pm followed by the standard performance at 4.30pm.

The Orchestra of Opera North : Viennese Whirl, with waltzes, polkas and song (see what they did there?) by the Strauss family and more with guest tenor Gavan Ring and conductor Paul Daniel – Leeds Town Hall on 29th December, Huddersfield Town Hall on 30th December and Hull City Hall on 31st December.
